Best Chocolate Cake (Betty Crocker)

2 c. flour ¾ c. buttermilk

2 c. sugar ½ c. shortening

1 t. soda 2 eggs

1 t. salt 1 t. vanilla

¾ c. water ½ t. baking powder

4 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate (cool)

Oven 350. Add all ingredients to bowl. Mix at low speed until well blended. Beat 3 minutes at high speed. Pour into greased 9”x13” pan. Bake about 40 – 45 minutes, or done.
