Thumbprint Cookies (Betty
Crocker)
½ c. butter 1 c. flour
¼ c. brown sugar ¼ t. salt
1 egg yolk ¾ c. finely chopped nuts
½ t. vanilla jelly or jam
1 egg white
Combine all ingredients
except nuts, jelly and egg white. In a
separate bowl, beat egg white with fork.
Roll dough into balls. Dip balls
in egg white then roll in nuts. Place
on greased baking sheet. Make an
indentation with your thumb. Bake at
350 for 10-12 min. When cool, fill
indentations with jelly or jam.
