Chocolate Shell Sauce (for Ice Cream)

6 oz. Melted good quality chocolate

(I use Ghiradelli 60% cocoa)

½ c. + 1 T. coconut oil

1 t. vanilla or ½ t. orange or mint flavoring


Stir oil into melted chocolate. Stir in flavoring. Pour into covered glass jar. Store at room temperature.


This sauce can be stored at room temperature for a week or more. It is liquid at room temperature. It hardens when spooned onto the ice cream.
