French Toast
Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook
4 eggs, slightly beaten 1 c. milk
2 T. sugar 2 t. vanilla
½ t. cinnamon
8 slices of bread (challah is best, white or wheat OK)
butter for frying
Mix all items except bread in a square or rectangular dish. Heat up pan or griddle. Dip bread on both sides in egg mixture (if dense or dry bread you may let it soak for a minute.) Fry with a little butter on each side until done.
