Oatmeal Cake (Lynn Eichhorn)

1 c. oatmeal \

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter > Mix. Let stand 20 min.

1 1/4 c. boiling water /

- Then add:

1 c. brown sugar 1 c. sugar

2 eggs 1 1/3 c. flour

1 t. soda 1 t. cinnamon

1/4 t. nutmeg 1/4 t. cloves

pinch salt

Greased 9x12 pan. Bake at 350 for about 35 min.

When cook ice as desired. (Cream cheese or caramel icing.)
