Pralines (Betty Crocker)

 

1 lb. (2 ¼ c.) Brown sugar

1/8 t. salt

¾ c. evaporated milk

2 T. butter

2 c. pecan halves

 

Mix all ingredients except pecans in a 2 qt. saucepan. Heat and stir until sugar dissolves.  Add pecans.  Cook on low, stirring to 234 degrees. Remove from heat and let cool 5 min.  Stir until mixture begins to thicken and coats pecans.  Drop onto greased baking sheet forming patties.  Let stand until cool.
