Cream Wafers (Betty Crocker)

 

2 c. flour            1/3 c. cream

1 c. butter, softened

sugar  on wax paper

 

Mix above except sugar.  Refrigerate 1 hr. or until firm.  Roll out 1/8” thick on floured surface.  Cut into 1 ½ “ rounds.  Dip in sugar then place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Prick with fork about 4 times.  Bake at 375 for 7 to 9 minutes until set but not brown.  Transfer to rack and cool completely.  Spread cream filling.  Use about ½ t. creamy filling to make sandwich cookies.

 

Creamy Filling

 

¾ c. powdered sugar

¼ c. butter, softened

1 t. vanilla
