Peanut Butter Kisses

General Mills

½ c. shortening ½ c. sugar

½ c. peanut butter ½ c. brown sugar (packed)

1 egg 2 T. milk

1 t. vanilla

1 ¾ c. flour 1 t. baking soda

½ t. salt sugar for rolling in

48 Hershey's kisses, unwrapped

Oven 375° F

Mix together, shortening, peanut butter & sugars until smooth. Add egg, milk and vanilla and mix until smooth. A flour. Put soda and salt on top of flour. Stir dry ingredients together on top and then stir them into the wet mixture. When it is smooth, shape into 1” balls and roll in sugar.

Place 2” apart on un-greased baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. When hot, top each cookie with a kiss, and press firmly down so cookie cracks around edge. Remove from cookie sheets.
