Mulled Wine
1 bottle dry red wine
1 peeled and sliced orange (save the peel)
¼ c brandy
8-10 whole cloves
⅓ c honey or sugar (or less if you don't like it sweet)
3 cinnamon sticks
1 t. fresh or 2 t. ground ginger
Serves 4-6
Combine all ingredients in a large pot or slow cooker. Gently warm on low to medium heat (avoid boiling), for 20-25 minutes. Stir to ensure honey/sugar is well mixed in.
