Cookie Glaze (Aus Am.States – Penny’s cookies)


3 c. sifted confectioner’s sugar

¼ c. warm water

1 T. white corn syrup

½ t. (or more)  almond flavoring

(food coloring if desired)


Add syrup to warm water.  Mix with remaining ingredients.  To glaze: dip tops of cookies quickly into glaze.  If it starts to dry out/harden, add a few drops of hot water.  Turn cookies right side up and let dry on wire racks.  Can either add sprinkles or colored sugar when wet or us decorator/royal icing when dry.
